Final wish this season.
Final wish this season.
Now that it looks like we are safe my one final wish is that we beat Arsenal. We've had our fair share of diabolic decisions go against us when playing them and this is the one remaining game where I would love to see a win and end the season on a high note. Even better if they missed out on the Champions league because of it.

I'm hoping for a last minute dodgy penalty decision in our favour. It won't happen but I'd love to see their fans reaction when they finally get one against them.

Re: Final wish this season.
Its certainly a pay back game as we have suffered more than our fair share of being conned from the Cocky Cockneys
They will do anything to get a result cheating there way anything to get the points
what makes it a Justice game is the manor of their results against us leaving us with no time to avenge the unjust way they have played them games out.
We certainly owe them one and they are the only top six side we have yet to beat so i think we can do an all out assault and round off a fine battling season off UTC

Defeating Arsenal is also my number 1 wish. I’m meant to be going on but I’m such a jinx I’ll gladly miss if we need even 1pt. Yesterday went a long way to ensuring that is not necessary.

If we are mathematically safe by the Arsenal game I'd rather we beat them TWICE next season

Re: Final wish this season.
For me it would be to the take points off Man City that prevents them from winning the title.
Hate the idea of them winning again. Say what you like about Liverpool but at least they are a club with a soul. City just an oppressive regime's way to window dress their image, a sad portrayal of all that's wrong about modern football. I have even less time for them than I do for Chelsea!

And how many more points are Cardiff going to pick up? It’d be funny if Brighton dropped but I can’t see Cardiff winning two of their last five without Brighton picking up a single point.Bosscat wrote:Brighton after Cardiff Tuesday have

Can I be greedy and say 12 points. Seriously, i'd like us to beat Arsenal. The only so called top six side we've failed to defeat thus far in PL era.

They could but it’s pretty doubtful that they will, and then for Brighton not to pick up a single point in their remaining games. There’s a reason Brighton are 12-1 for the drop.tim_noone wrote:I'm sure Cardiff could Beat Brighton and Fulham..

Like the OP, Burnley beating Arsenal with a goal in the last minute would be a fitting end to the season.

Re: Final wish this season.
To be honest I don't care if we get battered by the other 3 but beating Arsenal is lo.....ng overdue. They are the only top 6 side we have never beaten in the PL era and that has been down to some diabolical decisions and sheer good luck on their part. I don't care who wins the damn thing (I have no problem with City or Liverpool) and I don't care who goes down (ditto Cardiff and Brighton), but we must surely have our long overdue day in the sun against the Gooners.

Yeah. 10 points from the next 4 games would be a reasonable and not at all unrealistic return.Woodleyclaret wrote:Brighton will rally and beat Cardiff.A further defeat or draw v Liverpool and Cardiff are down .We will win at Chelsea and Everton both two teams struggling.Id take a draw v City and a win v Cheating Arsenal

We gained 7 points from the same fixtures last season, and where robbed by the cheatin Gonners.Rileybobs wrote:Yeah. 10 points from the next 4 games would be a reasonable and not at all unrealistic return.
Chelsea might rest one or two if their top 4 hopes are fading, and put their eggs in the EL basket.
Everton are unpredictable, could go either way.
City at home is a game we should be up for,and their fixtures are taking a toll on even their star-studded squad.
Arsenal aren't great away from the Emirates,we can definitely nick something against them.
Effectively we're safe so can enjoy these last 4 games, and play with an element of freedom.

Probably the worst of the Arsenal late goals against us. Koscielny's shot was mishit that much it was going behind him until he handballed it in.
