Cardiff noise today
Given their '**** or bust' situation, thought their fans were poor today.
Re: Cardiff noise today
Once the penalty got overturned was almost as if the fight drained out of their players and fans and they accepted defeat.

Re: Cardiff noise today
Cardiff players and fans have already given up. Expected full scale **** or busy in the 2nd half- no sign.
Re: Cardiff noise today
To say they had a sell out following, their support was pi** poor

Can you imagine the response of Clarets fans (or any fans) had the roles been reversed?!Aclaret wrote:To say they had a sell out following, their support was pi** poor

Re: Cardiff noise today
I thought their fans were good today, as were ours. There were only a few quiet moments, but the atmosphere was generally great today.

Our fans made lots of noise - perhaps the free scarves and flags helped to start things off but, as stated yesterday, Cardiff's response was poor.FactualFrank wrote:From what I was told from many people who went on - ours was crap as well.

Always helps when there's a panto villain in the opposite dugout.

Re: Cardiff noise today
for the most part it sounded decent on the TV, far better than most games. I hope the scarf idea can be replicated throughout the ground, looked superb

I want to know where my FREE scarf is. All I got was a flag on a stickVegas Claret wrote:I hope the scarf idea can be replicated throughout the ground

Re: Cardiff noise today
I offered to swap my 2 flags for a scarf with a Cricketfielder as we walked up the road by the cricket club he told me to take short sharp jerky movements .....RalphCoatesComb wrote:I want to know where my FREE scarf is. All I got was a flag on a stick
We joked that they got scarves as they couldn't use them as a weapon whereas a plastic Flag stick might be construed as a dangerous weapon perhaps a blowpipe

Re: Cardiff noise today
The scarves we got were not actually that bad. I also thought the atmosphere was very good yesterday, but was surprised just how quiet Cardiff were. Would like to know how it looked when all the scarves were going bananas after the goals and when the players came out. Anyone got any clips, would be much appreciated.

Re: Cardiff noise today
The flags / scarves looked fantastic at the beginning ,for those who moaned about it 'not the Burnley thing' to do are way off the mark, not gonna do it every game obviously but for games like that it did the job, well done BFC and well done everyone who joined in,had we been 3-0 in the 2nd half I'm sure we'd seen a lot more of the flags etc but I thought th cricketfield fans were brilliant the whole game( I was in Jimmy Mac upper) UTC
Re: Cardiff noise today
The scarves looked really good being swung around. Added to the whole occasion.burnleymik wrote:The scarves we got were not actually that bad. Re: Cardiff noise today
I was next to the Cardiff fans who looked defeated after the penalty decision, can't blame them really so can understand them not being too lively.FactualFrank wrote:From what I was told from many people who went on - ours was crap as well.
2nd half when we allowed Cardiff to have control and not change anything the crowd went a bit flat but overall from my end was a good laugh.
Loved the scarfs though

Re: Cardiff noise today
Was a decent atmosphere on Sat I thought ( and so it should have been ) though the scarves above the head and the rather embarrassing “ 3 yrs too late” Scouse “ Allez allez” made it look a bit like Brighton or Leics happy clappers imo . Probs is the CFS is so small and isolated it rarely sets much of the rest of the ground off and unless you’re in the middle of it the sound is nowt special . Cardiff didn’t offer that much noise wise
