End of Season player awards
Done a search of the forum but can't find anything, this is first time going to the awards night, just wondering is there a dress code? Also when do they normally send out the tickets? Thanks in advance
Re: End of Season player awards
Smart casual with a suit type jacket.
It relaxes later in the evening when things start to flow.
I’ve been twice and will be attending this year.
It’s usually a great night and a good chance to chat to the players and Directors.

Officially smart casual but last year there were quite a few wearing jeans who got in ok.
Temperature in the tent was crazy last year.
Seem to recall that they didn't send the tickets until a couple of weeks before the event

It was a "luxury marquee" at the back of the James Hargreaves stand. It was actually ok, aside from the heatSouth West Claret. wrote:They held it in a tent? What was up with the centre spot.

Chatting to players and directors... minimal chance... they are roped off with beefy stewards in attendance...
Is it £120... too much for me

Rubbish, last year there was plenty of opportunity to take photos with the players and management. There are tickets at £80.Rodleydave wrote:Chatting to players and directors... minimal chance... they are roped off with beefy stewards in attendance...

I went about 5 years on the trot and the further awa the seats the less involved people were. I was always lucky enuf to be quite close with a gold ticket but others i kno wudnt book again due to that very reasonLeisure wrote:That's rubbish! Everyone had a great time there last year.

They mingled with everybody on a few occasions. Even went over to 1 if their tables to get a shirt signed
Re: End of Season player awards
I haven’t been when it’s been in the Marquee.
But went twice when it was in the JH upper.
Certainly had plenty of opportunities to chat with players and management on those occasions. My son actually had a ball signed by the whole team. If anything it was getting a bit too close for comfort with the players when the beer had been flowing later in the evening.
May be calmer this year as we still have to play Arsenal a week later.

Always thought it was better int JH, when it was easier to mingle at the bar.
Re: End of Season player awards
I went for the last two years.
When the awards were over everyone got a chance to meet the players no matter what category of ticket you had. I would expect the same this year.
I really enjoy going.

Weve been for a number of years now.......always thought the James Hargreaves isn’t designed for those sort of events although we always had a good time......Kieran Tripps certainly did! They always make you feel proud to be a Claret and the players easily accessible with a bit of patience.
Looking forward to this years event!
Now we’re safe!
