Re: Todays football
Not quite a worldy, Bosscat. Beast like goalkeeping from De Gea. Took an eternity to dive for that.
Hopefully Everton don't play like this against us, although Man U are making them look very good.

. wouldn’t describe it as a ‘Worldy’ - good hit but he feels the goalkeeper should be stopping it from that distance when he had sight of it all the way.Bosscat wrote:Worldy by Siggurdsson 2-0

If Man U lose today, that'll be 6 defeats in their last 8 games in all competitions.

Can see Manure having to fork out for another big 'See Ya' contract before next season kicks off.

In fairness, with half a billion per year revenue, serviceable debt probably is the least of their concerns.Chester Perry wrote:Which is a couple of hundred million less than the glazers have taken out to reduce the debt they have imposed on the club by £50m

I wonder if he is still on his loan contract and the new one doesn't go live until next season?Buxtonclaret wrote:Can see Manure having to fork out for another big 'See Ya' contract before next season kicks off.
If so, surely re-negging (or whatever) on it would be cheaper?
One things for sure, he'll be sacked before he technically starts...

Re: Todays football
that's 4 managers that have struggled to turn a poor Man Utd team around - other than OGS they were all very experienced. Don't think the problem is the manager tbh but just really poor (by their standards) playersSGr wrote:Ole shocking appointment.

Re: Todays football
The players were playing with relief when Jose went. The real test is when things aren’t going for them. Can he lift them ?. I wasn’t convinced at Cardiff. I think they have good players but also some big egos.

Re: Todays football
Glazers the main issue, but José was the only one to challenge them. 2 trophies and a second place finish in this era under their current regime...hindsight is always 20/20Vegas Claret wrote:that's 4 managers that have struggled to turn a poor Man Utd team around - other than OGS they were all very experienced. Gary Neville, post match, giving Manure some awful stick, calling the players lazy, giving a rancid performance, saying certain players need rooting out and getting rid of. Great to watch, love it
Re: Todays football
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, 28, is said to be growing increasingly frustrated with the club's refusal to meet his long-standing request for a pay rise. (Times)

Now, on to the Cardiff/Liverpool game. This game concerns me, it's more or less a 'must win' for both.

This is the game I've been worried about for a long time.
I posted this on a thread a couple of weeks ago. Exactly the sort of game that Liverpool might bottle, and if they do then we dont look so safe.

Re: Todays football
Give me strength. You sometimes get one team who manages to get out of danger at the expense of one team who looks safe, but as far as I'm aware two teams have never ever done that. I suspect there is more chance of us winning the PL this season than finding evidence of two teams have made a great escape in one season.nil_desperandum wrote:This is the game I've been worried about for a long time.

Even if Cardff do win they have to keep winning, as do Brighton.
We are 250/1 to go down for a reason.
Re: Todays football
Alexander-Arnold has been rubbish again today. Saw him against us and now against Cardiff. Both McNeil and Mendez-Laing have had a lot of joy against him.
