Magnificent. I’ve heard that Ben Mee’s mother’s sister’s great grandma’s auntie It’s from San Marino. If I were him, I would seriously think about getting some games for them and. Just imagine what he would do to improve their negative goal difference!

You seem to get England caps if you play alongside Ben but he doesn’t get one. Both of them superb today.

I’ve totally understood in the past why Mee hasn’t been selected for England. In the past, he’s been liable to a huge error with too much regularity, and his distribution has always been the biggest flaw in his game.

However, last season, and certainly the second half of this season in particular, he’s reduced the individual errors and his distribution has improved. That, on top of his bravery and his biggest asset, his positional sense, and I can’t see how he isn’t in the England squad now, along with Tarkowski who is now a fantastic defender at this level.

I’ve always said that for more recognition - Ben Mee has one fault.

He can’t play next to Ben Mee.

Ben Mee is brilliant in a team under pressure with his blocking, heading and tackling, but most of the time England dominate possession and aren’t under pressure. Therefore, as good as he is at defending, his skills are probably not best suited to England where defenders who are good on the ball and can distribute well are preferred. Hence Tarkowski and Keane get picked but he doesn’t. Very similar to the situation with Steve Bruce back in the day, I think. It’s a shame, but I just don’t think he has is the right type of defender for England.

This is the reason. He is a perfect fit for us and would be excellent for one if the other home nations if eligible.

He’s an absolute Braveheart and back to his best .Then again being under the cosh constantly from the likes of Spurs/Chelsea and Citeh . ANY centre half should be in his element . If he’s ever gonna get a call it could be in the assorted Mickey Mouse euro qualifying games where he could just stake a claim . Main prob is his distinct lack of attacking prowess and goals allied to very moderate distribution . Ironically he’s very good technically and a more mobile than he looks, though he’s be lucky to get a touch playing for Eng

Nowhere near good enough to play for England. Let's face it, if you defend as deep as we often do and have so many bodies behind the ball it's not hard to get blocks in the way is it?

The whole defense was brilliant and surprised to see Taylor get low scores on this Board .CT is going to have a hell of a season next year-very rarely is he made to look ragged by a winger. One of our astute buys

Only thing that let him down today was his distribution, unusually poor for him especially on the occasions where he had a bit more time - to be fair though that was the same for all our players. Defensively he was pretty good again
