If they completely folded what level of the pyramid would be their starting place for a new entrant, would they have to drop as low as the Northwest County level,or could they gain a foothold higher up the ladder.

This is the nuclear option, but it's looking more likely by the day, they can't keep limping on in this manner surely.

I'm guessing they'd start over again from as low down the league's as possible ?

I’m sure someone will buy them for £1 and reform them as ‘The’ Bolton Wanderers Football Club and they will carry on playing in the same stadium as if nothing has happened.

Makes me wonder do The Rangers Football Club list Rangers Football Club football honours in their programmes considering that was a separate club ?

Frightening. You're (for some insane reason) thinking of buying a debt-ridden club and you don't conduct thorough due diligence. Is he playing with a full deck?

When Halifax Town folded the new club started in the NPL Division One i.e one level above the North West Counties. Would imagine a new Bolton club would be allowed to enter at the same level.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if these two conmen are working together in order to delay the winding up order by HMRC.

I thought you couldn’t do a quick admin turn around if the money is owed to HRMC. They’ll shut the whole thing down. Other creditors are different but the taxman always wants his cut.

my guess is Administration with a major creditor being part of the new ownership

Bassini hasn't and never has had any money and definitely not the funds to buy and bail out Bolton. Him stringing that clown Anderson along is one thing, but whatever you think of them it's all been very unfair on the genuine Bolton fans. Bassini constantly stalled on the "proof of funds" which the EFL naturally required and eventually he's had to scuttle off under cover of a smokescreen because he literally can't and never could put his money where his big mouth is.

Bassini will probably still be buying them, but if he lets it go into Administration first, he can't pick it up at a massively discounted price and not inherit the debts. Why would he do anything else?

Would appear Davies wasn't so charitable towards the end then, if monies owed is now secured.

The hotel and training ground issues are going to be a major headache.

Has he really written off £170m? From the Swiss ramble and other things you pick up on social media, how much did davies companies get in interest? Are there still ties with moonshift that have club have had to work under? Or were they Anderson lies?

Their finances have been incredible over the years.

£170m + £15m when they return to the PL

Should say that Moonshift is the Davis family vehicle that has been putting money into Bolton for years

Without question that was always the case. My information as of tonight is that literally no-one outside of the Club was aware of the outstanding debt of £41.6m until lunchtime today, and that includes Bassini. So whilst the latter may not come out of any of this smelling of roses he may not be quite the badman that he is being portrayed on this thread. Funds were available including £200k to maintain the hotel if Anderson hadn't been quite so stubborn, but now all that will be consigned to the history books.

Bassini not quite the bad man that he is being portrayed on this thread? I hope there aren’t any Watford fans reading that. This is a man who seems to have built a career on dishonesty and bankruptcy. If you saw him coming down your street you’d make sure your doors were locked.

From this morning's Bolton News

LAURENCE Bassini refuses to give up on his chase to buy Bolton Wanderers, insisting the contract he signed to buy Ken Anderson’s shares is “bulletproof”.

Speaking to The Bolton News this morning, the former Watford owner was upset that an official statement issued last night had seemingly ended the deal and hinted that the club would soon be placed into administration.

“That is nonsense,” argued Bassini, who added that he is now pursuing legal action and is officially 'in control' of the club. “What is happening here is wrong. What they are doing is making people at the club suffer.

“I am not giving up on this one. I am going to save this club.”

Bassini has not had his business plan refused by the EFL but admits he does need to restructure elements of his bid to satisfy certain criteria laid out by the league.

He claims there was no need to meet with officials last night as his legal representatives were able to send the necessary documents without him being present.

“The contract I have is binding,” he said. “It is a mechanism to complete the deal.

“They have not put in writing that I cannot have the club. It is bulletproof. There is nothing they can do – and they certainly can’t start putting out an ultimatum.”

Bassini claims he offered to pay-off the winding-up petition against the Bolton Whites Hotel a fortnight ago but was refused.

He has also said he would pay back every Bolton Wanderers supporter who had money taken from their bank account for the final season ticket direct debit last month.

“I will repay every single fan personally,” he added.

The fact someone who has been bankrupt twice seems so desperate to get his hands on a basket case of a club should be in itself enough to them to stay clear of this crook
