Ashley Westwood

Postby Woodleyclaret » Sun Aug 12, 2018 8:04 pm

I hold my hand up and thought he was a poor signing.
However, I am happy to admit I was wrong and hes been superb.

Top player: always wants the ball; always shows for the call; rarely gives the ball away.

He’s done well. If he was better in the attacking third he wouldn’t be playing for Brunley.

Really good performance today. The returning injured players (when fit) are going to have their work cut out to displace him, if he maintains his form, good though those players are.

Great clearance off the line, as well.

He’s playing very well but between him and Cork one of them has to occasionally carry the ball at the opposition, if only to keep them honest. The speed and accuracy of the passing of the whole team has been a massive improvement so far and Westwood is excellent at keeping things ticking over.
