Michael Keane nominated for monthly award
The nominations have been confirmed this morning for the manager and player of the month in the Championship and central defender Michael Keane is one of four players nominated.
He was in outstanding form for us during the month which saw us play six games, winning three and drawing three. We conceded just four times in that period and in two of the draws, at Brighton and at home against Middlesbrough, he scored stoppage time equalisers.
He’ll face competition from Brighton’s Anthony Knockaert, Scott Hogan of Brentford and Derby’s Johnny Russell.
Both Aitor Karanka and Chris Hughton, Middlesbrough and Brighton, are amongst the nominees for the manager of the month along with last month’s winner Neil Warnock at Rotherham and clear favourite Dean Smith whose Brentford side have won the most number of points in April.
The winners will be announced tomorrow morning.
