More signings unlikely

Sean Dyche (pictured above with chairman Mike Garlick) has suggested this afternoon in the pre-match press conference for the game at Newcastle that any further incomings in this transfer window are unlikely.

“I doubt we’ll bring anyone else in,” he said. “There’s a couple of possibilities but I don’t think they’re probables at the minute.”

Asked about Arsenal defender Rob Holding, with speculation that there could be a loan move for him, he didn’t rule it out but reports have suggested he wouldn’t be available unless Arsenal strengthened in that area.

Dyche did confirm that Ashley Barnes is going nowhere; he’s been linked with both Chelsea and Crystal Palace recently.
