From the old to the new
From the old to the new

A couple of years ago pictures were published of what a potential new club shop would look like from the outside. At the time it was another Burnley FC pipe dream like the still awaited walk way on Yorkshire Street to the Paul Fletcher bread bin stand.

Our promotion in 2014 helped accelerate things but even then it was only initially the new office block which sits on the first floor extension of the Bob Lord stand admin and hospitality block.

Work eventually started on the new shop and ticket office at the beginning of the year and for the past couple of months or so we’ve shown the progress in a series of photographs on Up the Clarets.

Yesterday the new shop opened its doors, a month or so late due to the problems encountered due to the old Bee Hole Pit once work had got underway. It’s not entirely complete. The ticket office won’t move in until later in the week and work continues on the match day windows for the ticket office which are at the back of the new building.

Our latest photographs have been added to the gallery, starting with a look at the progress of the match day ticket windows, to the new frontage and then, for the first time, inside. Once in, it really is difficult to imagine now what it was like just a few months ago.

The photographs can be found in Turf Moor Phase 2 within Redevelopment which can be found on the top menu.
