michael duff 300x400Burnley’s Premier League Cup away game against Swansea City has been re-arranged and will be played in January 2018 rather than next Monday.

We confirmed the need for a rescheduling of this fixture yesterday, brought about because of Swansea’s involvement in the Football League (Checkatrade) Trophy and it has now been re-arranged for Monday 22nd January at their Landore Training Centre with a 1 p.m. kick off.

This is four days after our next game in the competition, the home game against Newcastle which will be played on Thursday 18th January at Stockport with a 2 p.m. kick off.

The league game against Sheffield United, scheduled for that date, will now be played on Thursday 29th March at Stocksbridge Park Steels with a 2 p.m. kick off.

The Fixtures and Results page has now been updated.

Burnley lead the way in Group D with six points from the opening two games. We beat Newcastle away 4-3 and then recorded a 4-0 home win against Colchester and Curzon Ashton with Nahki Wells helping himself to a hat trick.

Until yesterday, these had been the only two games in our group but Newcastle got their first points yesterday afternoon with a 6-3 home win against Swansea which included a four goal haul from Tom Heardman.

The current Premier League Group Tables can be found in U23/U18 Stats on the top menu.
