New deal for Tom Anderson
Central defender Tom Anderson has today signed a new deal to remain with the Clarets for the next two years and with a further year in the club’s favour.
22-year-old Tom, a local lad, is still to make a first team debut for the Clarets although he has been on the bench a number of times since first making the match day squad at Millwall in January 2013.
He’s spent time out on loan, working up from Barrow and Lincoln in non-league before joining League Two Carlisle and more recently playing 18 times last season for Chesterfield in League One.
Tom captained the youth team that reached the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup in 2012 although he was forced to miss the quarter-final win at Fulham and the two legged semi against Blackburn because of illness.
He’s now committed to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season, further evidence of how highly he is rated by the manager and his staff.Share this page :
