Striker Dom Knowles, a player who came as close as being named as a substitute for the first team at Burnley, left Harrogate Town at the end of the season. He had two spells there, playing league football for Burton between them. He’s now signed for former league club Boston.

Joining him is George Green. The young player who has suffered with mental health problems since a turbulent time at Everton, was with Chester last season but has moved to Boston ahead of 2019/20.

The other two players have signed for more local non-league clubs. Goalkeeper Connor King (pictured) left Burnley a year ago and, like Green, has been with Chester for the last year. He’s back at Burnley now working as a goalkeeping coach within the academy but next season he’ll be playing his football at Clitheroe.

Finally, Ethan Kershaw is returning to Barnoldswick where he had two spells on loan last season. He’s the youngest of the four at 18 and was released at the end of his scholarship recently after a number of years coming through the junior teams at Turf Moor.
