Three weeks ago, on the Saturday of the last international break, Padiham made an offer to Burnley supporters for their home game against City of Liverpool, an offer they are extending for tomorrow’ game against Widnes.

grounds padiham 9A number of Clarets were there for that game at the beginning of the month when Padiham beat City of Liverpool 2-0, a result that avenged their defeat against the same opponents in the FA Cup. It attracted a much bigger attendance than is usually the case at the Arbories.

Normal admission price for adults is £6 but on production of a Burnley season card it is reduced to £3, a saving of 50% for adults while under-16s are admitted free of charge.

Since winning that game three weeks ago, they suffered a home defeat against Hanley Town, sandwiched between away wins at Maine Road and AFC Liverpool. Their recent form of four wins and a draw in the last six games has lifted them to 8th in the North West Counties League Premier Division while Widnes are just one point and one place behind them.

In that recent win against City of Liverpool, their team included Ben Hoskin who was a member of our youth and development teams from 2008 to 2011. He’s now been joined by his former Burnley team mate Chris Anderson who has moved from Colne.

If you want your Saturday afternoon football fix, kick off at the Arbories tomorrow is 3 p.m.
