Questions answered on when players featured for the Clarets
Where did he make his debut? When did he play his last game for us? How many goals did he score for Burnley? These are just some of the questions asked regularly about any number of the players who have played for Burnley over the years.
Some of the answers might now be found in the new Appearances and Goals feature on Up the Clarets which lists ever player to have played first team football for the club since the resumption of competitive football in 1946 at the end of World War II, starting with the FA Cup ties against Stoke in January 1946.
All the players are listed alphabetically on six different pages with debut and last game opponents with dates shown for each player followed by his league and cup appearances and goals.
For players who played for the club either side of the war, the figures do include the pre-war appearances. An example of this is George Bray who made his debut against Luton in October 1937 and played right through to 1951 when he played his final game at Stoke in September of that year.
The pages will be updated game by game to ensure the current players’ information is always correct. All current players are shown in bold with just a debut game and date shown before the appearances and goals.
The Appearances and Goals feature can be found within the Players drop down on the top menu.
