gawthorpe 2 1000x500Burnley have played two friendlies this afternoon at Gawthorpe, one against Accrington Stanley and the other against Tranmere Rovers.

It was an afternoon when the outfield players saw action in both games, swapping from one game to the other at half time, that ended with us beating Accrington 8-0 but going down 3-2 against Tranmere.

Jay Rodriguez got the opener against Accrington with Chris Wood adding a second. It was Dwight McNeil who made it 3-0 before Rodriguez scored again to add our fourth.
