Second win for youth team
Burnley have followed up last week’s 2-1 home win against Cardiff with a win by the same score this morning against Crystal Palace.
The game was played at Vauxhall Road, home of Hemel Hempstead Town, and we were close to taking the lead in just the fifth minute. However, midway through the first half the goal did come from Cricky Conn-Clarke who saw his corner deflected into the net.
We looked like going in to half time with a lead only for Palace to equalise in the second minute of stoppage time giving a half time score at 1-1.
Conn-Clarke was close to a second on 65 minutes only to see his shot hit the post but Mitch George (pictured) did win it for us with just over a minute of normal time remaining, hitting the ball home from close range.
The Burnley team was: Kai Calderbank-Park, Kane Patterson, Jake Rooney, Edon Pruti, Matty Rain, Cricky Conn-Clarke (Finlay Armstrong 90), Corey Brennan (Joel Connolly 84), Ben Woods, Ne-Jai Tucker, Mitch George, Joe McGlynn (Dylan Moonan ht). Subs not used: Harry Allen, Matthew Carson.Share this page :
