Taylor lands academy role at Spurs
Matt Taylor, who was with the Clarets from 2014 until 2016, retired from playing at the end of the season and has now joined Tottenham Hotspur as their under-18 coach.
Taylor, who had played Premier League football for Portsmouth, Bolton and West Ham before joining the Clarets, moved to Northampton and Swindon before ending his career, and his final few months at Swindon were as player/coach.
His substitute appearance for Swindon against Notts County on 4th May was his 658th and last league appearance having kick started his playing career at Luton for whom he also made his debut against Notts County in August 1999.
He’d taken his coaching badges and was expected to remain in football as a coach and today Spurs announced some changes to their academy structure which has seen Ryan Mason join them as their under-19 coach with Taylor taking the under-18s.Share this page :
