no place like homeWhen Burnley unexpectedly won promotion to the Premier League in 2009, Clarets’ fan Peter Haworth decided to put pen to paper and chart the 2009/10 season in the form of a Premier League diary.

Like most of us, once we’d been relegated at the end of that season, he expected the book to be a one off, but that’s not the case and he is amazed and delighted that he has now published the third book in the series following the 2016/17 season.

Book two came after we’d won promotion as runners-up behind Leicester but again the story ended in disappointment with the Clarets relegated after just one season.

But Peter’s pen came out once more a year ago; this time after we’d lifted the Championship trophy. He’s told the story of our third Premier League season in a book entitled There’s No Place Like Home. It’s a personal account of a sometimes exciting, other times disappointing, often frustrating but always compelling season of Premier League challenges and the book is interspersed with his other passion of walking the tracks of his beloved north country.

The book is currently available in paperback from Amazon priced at £12 with a Kindle edition to follow shortly.
