Tom Heaton back in training

There was good news at Gawthorpe today with the sight of captain Tom Heaton returning to training for first time since suffering a serious shoulder injury in September during the home game against Crystal Palace.

He’s had surgery and gone through rehab and today joined the other goalkeepers alongside coach Billy Mercer. Just three weeks ago he joined the Burnley fans in the away end at Old Trafford for the 2-2 draw against Manchester United. He was made very welcome but I’m sure the Burnley fans will be delighted with today’s news that our next sighting of him could be back on the pitch.
