Tough draw for Clarets in Premier League Cup

The draw has taken place today for the group stage of the Premier League Cup and it couldn’t have been much tougher for our under-23s who have been drawn alongside two other Premier League clubs and one recently departed.

Burnley are in Group C this season alongside Bournemouth, Liverpool and West Brom. We’ve played Bournemouth previously in the competition. That was in a qualifier two seasons ago in a game we won 3-2 at the Turf with goals from Dwight McNeil, Tinashe Chakwana and Freddie Yao.

We will play all three teams home and away on dates and at venues to be confirmed.

The Group Tables have now been added to U23/U18 Stats on the top menu.
