1718 burnley turf moor 01 1000x500Our under-23 team have eight games remaining in this season’s Professional Development League with three of them at home and five away, and the three remaining home games, starting today with the visit of Queens Park Rangers, are scheduled to be played at Turf Moor.

Only one of the previous home games have been played at the Turf, that being the 3-3 draw against Huddersfield back in November. The others have been played either behind closed doors at Gawthorpe or at Curzon Ashton’s Tameside Stadium where we played for the final time this season eleven days ago.

Our opponents QPR have had an average season to date and are fifth in the southern group of the league. They do have one of the leading scorers in the league in Aramide Oteh who has netted 12 goals this season, a total bettered by only three players ahead of this week’s fixtures.

Burnley remain at the bottom of the north group, six points behind Barnsley in the next place, but there have been some more positive signs in recent games in what has become a fast changing team with a number of trialists involved, something that could also be the case this afternoon.

Kick off is 2 p.m. and admission is free to season card holders. For non card holders, tickets can be purchased from the ticket office windows at £4 adults and £2 concessions.
