Under-23s held at Colchester
Our under-23s remain unbeaten in the Professional Development League after three games but they are still searching for a first win of the season having drawn yet again, this time disappointingly against Colchester United.
Everything looked good in the first half. Ali Koiki gave us an early lead after the home goalkeeper could only parry a Rob Harker shot and with less than twenty minutes on the clock with a good finish from Lewis Richardson.
We had other chances but that was as good as it got for us with Colchester coming back in the second half to draw level and earn their first point of the season.
It was a game we should have won. Richardson might have had a penalty close to the end and he twice hit the woodwork to add to his first goal of the season.
