Under-23s hit another four goals
Our goal hungry under-23 team were at it again today, hitting four past Sheffield Wednesday in a 4-2 win at their Middlewood training ground and the twin strike force of Dan Agyei and Tinashe Chakwana were again both on the score sheet.
Both players started the game with six goals each in the Professional Development League this season and it was Agyei (pictured) who opened the scoring for Burnley on 14 minutes.
It stayed at 1-0 until five minutes before half time when Wednesday levelled from the penalty spot through Jack Stobbs but a minute later Agyei struck again to restore the lead.
Ten minutes after the break it was 3-1 through Chakwana and it was all over when Tunde Bayode scored goal number four with twenty minutes remaining.
Fraser Preston did pull one back soon after but it was no more than a consolation with Burnley winning 4-2, a third win in the last four unbeaten games.
