Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
Nahki Wells has settled in well at QPR since his loan move and has become a popular player with the Loftus Road crowd after some good performances in blue and white hoops.
He’s enjoying himself too, getting some first team football, and said he would be open to a permanent move if it were on offer. He’s under contract at Burnley until the end of next season but hadn’t started a game prior to his move to QPR.
He told West London Sport: “I love it here so far. You can’t think too far ahead, but if an opportunity arose like that in the future then, if I had to say it right now, it’s something I would gladly look at. The main focus at the moment is to focus and keep helping the team moving forward, do well for myself and see what door opens in the future.”
He is still to open his account in terms of goals, but has played well in all of his four games, none more so than in the midweek win against Millwall. He added: “I am here to not just score goals but contribute towards them. I am not getting stressed about goals, and they will come.
“It’s about performances and contributing. If I wasn’t doing that then I’d be worrying. It’s about staying focused and keep putting in seven out of ten performances each game and I know the goals are going to come. Goals come with confidence and I am a confident person, so I’ll keep believing and I think they’ll start to reel in.”Share this page :
