The destination this week is Hebden Bridge for West Yorkshire Clarets’ June meeting, coming just about half way between the end of last season and the start of the 2017/18 season.

calansHaving been there for the first time a year ago, the group have again selected Calan’s (Calderdale’s first micropub) as their first port of call and they will be there from 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday 29th June, before moving on to a second pub, walking distance away, for the second part of the evening.

Hebden Bridge is easily accessible by train with good services from such as Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield and Todmorden, and the pub is just a short walk from the railway station. It can be found across from the town hall and its address is 3, The Courtyard, Bridge Gate, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8EX.

£2 (£1 for students and unwaged) will be collected from regular attendees with the monies going towards end of season player of the year awards. This is waived for those attending for the first attend.

All Clarets are welcome and the West Yorkshire Clarets have stressed that although it is considered a ‘meeting’ it is in fact an informal gathering over a drink and they always look forward to welcoming new members.

If you do intend going, or if you would like more information on the group, please EMAIL them and they will get back to you.
