1718 burnley marcel wusiewicz 00 500x500Youth team goalkeeper Marcel Wusiewicz is certainly having a busy time right now. He recently went on loan to Salford and played for them in the FA Youth Cup. He returned to Burnley and played in the recent U18 Professional Development League game against Leeds, and now he’s joined Nelson on a short term loan.

The Polish born 17-year-old signed in time to make his debut for them last night against Prestwich Heys in the Macron Cup, a game Nelson won on penalties after the game ended 1-1.

Alex Mullin, who was a member of Burnley’s youth squad that reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2012 gave them the lead in the first half with Heys equalising after the break.

The shoot out proved to be comfortable with Prestwich Heys unable to beat Wusiewicz with three efforts. Their first went over the bar but Marcel saved the next two with Nelson winning the shoot out 3-1.
