1516 burnley connor king 00 630x420The youth team fell to a sixth successive defeat this morning when they were beaten 3-1 by Walsall in a game played at the Birmingham FA’s headquarters at Ray Hall Lane, Great Barr.

Walsall were very quickly into a two goal lead within the first quarter of an hour with both goals scored by Tobias Hayles-Docherty. It was 3-0 ten minutes into the second half when William Shorrock netted with the young Clarets scoring a late consolation with the scorer still to be confirmed.

The Burnley team was: Connor King, Billy Grogan, Shaun Hobson, Lewis Norvock, Andy Nugent, Olatunde Bayode, Eggington, Miles Fenton, Tyler Shrimpton, Dwight McNeil, Tommy Wood. Subs: Marcel Wisiewicz, Oliver Younger, Mark Howarth, Tristan Jumeau.
