1718 burnley youth team 03 1000x700Having beaten Leeds United and gone back to the top of the league last week with a third successive league victory, the youth team travel to Hull tomorrow to face the East Yorkshire side who are currently in fifth place.

So tight is this league that a run of wins, as we’ve just had, can swiftly move you up the league while a run of defeats can see you plummet as we did prior to this recent run.

We’ve beaten Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and Leeds in those last three games while Hull, last week, beat Crewe having lost their previous two games, both at home, against Birmingham and Huddersfield.

It was at Crewe at the beginning of November where we lost for fourth successive time, but since then we’ve won those three games and added the FA Youth Cup win against Leeds to that last Monday.

Players such as Oliver Younger, James Clarke and Dwight McNeil, who have been with the under-23s, all played in the cup match and with there being no under-23 game this coming week it could be that they will be in contention to play tomorrow.

Kick off tomorrow is 11:30 a.m. at Bishop Burton College, Hull.
