Youths hit for five by Tranmere
Burnley’s rearranged Youth Alliance League game against Tranmere today ended in a big 5-1 defeat for the young Clarets with Josh Dolling scoring our goal.
It was a different looking Burnley team which included just six of the scholars in the starting line up. There were three first years in Mark Howarth, Olatunde Bayode and Miles Fenton lining up alongside Shaun Hobson, Hamam El-Fitouri (pictured) and Josh Dolling, three of the second years who yesterday learned they would not be offered deals beyond the end of the season.
Dolling it was scored the Burnley goal, his eighth competitive goal for the youth team this season.
The Burnley team was: Marcel Wusiewicz, Leighton Egan, Waz Mpofu, Mark Howarth, James Clarke, Shaun Hobson, Olatunde Bayode, Hamam El-Fitouri, Josh Dolling, Miles Fenton, Tristan Jumeau. Subs: Adam Bruce, Billy Grogan, Tyler Shrimpton, Nashé Chakwana.
