1516 burnley lewis norvock 00 630x420The youth team are at home tomorrow with a game against Shrewsbury Town who are currently in fifth place in the Youth Alliance League after their 1-0 win at Blackpool last week.

They face a Burnley side who have won just once in the last six games, a 3-0 success at Fleetwood a week and a half ago.

We lost the away fixture against them 3-1 back in August with Josh Dolling scoring our goal. It was the second of three defeats to kick off the season before a 2-0 away win at Rochdale.

Shrewsbury finished last season in 12th place, 12 points and three places below Burnley. We drew the home game against them 3-3, which was played at Padiham FC, with goals from Brad Jackson, Ntumba Massanka and Alex Richardson. The away fixture certainly went out way; both Massanka and Jackson bagged a brace with Khius Metz also scoring in a 5-2 win.

Seven of our second year scholars, including Lewis Norvock who is pictured, were released earlier in the week although three of them did play in the defeat at Tranmere two days ago. it will be interesting to see how many of them play tomorrow.

Kick off at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
