Youths suffer second successive defeat against Sheffield club

The under-18s were beaten 2-1 at Gawthorpe last Saturday by Sheffield Wednesday but there was to be no revenge against the south Yorkshire city this morning with us suffering a second successive defeat, this time losing 2-0 against Sheffield United with the Blades scoring one goal in each half of a game in which they were much the better side.

Kicking off in fifth place, we’ll now be looking at other results hoping that we haven’t dropped into the bottom half of the table.
