Having had the last two games postponed, Burnley are hoping to resume their Youth Alliance League programme against Blackpool tomorrow, and it looks as though there could be some success after the search for a venue landed in Lytham.

1516 burnley khius metz 00 630x420The game is a home game and should have been played at Gawthorpe, but the training ground is out of action currently because of the Christmas floods and for most of this week it looked as though the game was going to be played in Blackburn at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School playing fields at Lammack. That would have been interesting; Burnley playing a home game in Blackburn.

That was still the scheduled venue until around half an hour ago when a move to Lytham was confirmed with the game now being played at Lytham Cricket Club which is on Church Road in Lytham, postcode FY8 5QD. The game will kick off at 11 a.m.

We lost the away fixture 3-1 back in September with Khius Metz (pictured) scoring our goal but we opened up last season with a 2-0 win against them at Padiham FC when Christian Hill and Ntumba Massanka scored the goals.

Blackpool are currently 8th in the 15 team league with 24 points from 14 games whilst the young Clarets are down in 13th place with 16 points from 16 games.

A win tomorrow would see us move up at least one place in the table with Wrexham having no game. It would be two places but that would require bottom club Morecambe to take points from Rochdale.
