Bauress signs first professional contract
Seventeen-year-old Joe Bauress has today committed his immediate future to Burnley Football Club, signing a long term contract, a first professional contract for him.
Bauress has come through the academy at Turf Moor and has been with the club for nine years, coming in as an eight-year-old in 2014.
He was just fifteen when he made his youth team debut and he quickly stepped up to the under-21s where he has been a regular this season. He also made a first team debut, coming on late in the League Cup win against Crawley for CJ Egan-Riley.
The club haven’t given any indication of the length of the deal but having signed it, Bauress said: “I’m delighted to have signed this contract. When you first start playing for a club so young, this moment is what you dream of.
“I’ve been here over nine years now and I only want to carry on improving. To do that I know it’s going to require more hard work from me and that’s what the club are going to get.
“There are far too many people who have helped me along my journey here so far to mention individually, but to anyone that has I just want to say a massive thank you. Without ever little bit of help, signing this contract today wouldn’t have been possible.”
Up the Clarets wishes Joe the very best as he continues his career with the Clarets.
