Beer festival time for West Yorkshire Clarets
As has become a tradition at this time of year, West Yorkshire Clarets will be holding their September meeting this week in Todmorden.
It’s the occasion of the Todmorden Beer Festival which is held at Centre Vale, the home of Todmorden Cricket club and West Yorkshire Clarets are meeting there on the opening night which is in two days time on Thursday 21st September.
This is as close as they get to Burnley for any of their meetings and has always proved to be a popular night and they have once again sponsored one of the beers at the festival.
There’s plenty of choice. Last year there were thirty cask ales and ten farmhouse ciders to choose from and, if hungry, the pie and black peas is recommended.
Unless you are a Camra member, there is a small entry charge and so West Yorkshire Clarets are waiving the subs for this meeting which are usually £2 and £1 unwaged. They are meeting at 7 p.m.
