Bradford City confirmed as FA Youth Cup opponents
Last Friday Burnley were paired with one of Bradford City or Boston United when the draw was made for the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. It was a repeat of the draw for the same round five years ago other than it was then away from home and this time it’s at home.
In 2011 we travelled to Boston to kick start our run to the semi-finals but on this occasion our opponents will be Bradford City who last night beat Boston 2-1 at Valley Parade, and this after Boston had taken the lead with an early penalty. But Bradford City equalised through Ville Moilanen twenty minutes later with Chris Peters winning it for them two minutes into the second half.
There is no date yet for our tie, which is expected to be played at Turf Moor, but the FA reported that all ties must be played on or before Saturday 17th December.
