Orient book signingThe authors of two recently published Burnley FC related books will be signing copies at two events in the lead up to Christmas, and will be ably supported by a number of ex-Clarets.

The two books are From Orient to the Emirates by Tim Quelch, which charts the rapid decline of our club in the 1980s followed by this remarkable rise from 9th May 1987, when our league status and more was in jepourdy, to being a club that is now enjoying its fourth season of Premier League football, and Mud, Sweat and Shears by Dave Thomas, the story of former groundsman Roy Oldfield.

The first of the signings is at the club shop at Turf Moor on Thursday 30th November between 6 and 8 p.m. Unfortunately, Tim is not available for this one but Dave will be there with four former players from the 1970s, namely Frank Casper, Paul Fletcher, Jim Thomson and Colin Waldron.

Almost two weeks later, both authors will be at WH Smith’s on Charter Walk, Burnley. This is on Wednesday 13th December between 4 and 6 p.m. Accompanying them will be Mick Docherty and Steve Kindon, two of our FA Youth Cup winning team of almost fifty years ago.

If you are unable to make the signings, both books are available to purchase now from various sources including Amazon1 Amazon2 (links provided directly to each book).
