Burnley clinch Agyei deal
Vincent Kompany has returned to his former club RSC Anderlecht, to sign 18-year-old winger Enock Agyei on a four and a half year deal.
Agyei plays for the second team at Anderlecht, mainly on the right, and has scored four goals for them this season to add to one assist in the seventeen games he’s played.
Out of contract in the summer, he’s now joined Burnley but will return to Belgium and spend the rest of the season on loan with K. V. Mechelen who are managed by former Claret Steven Defour.
Agyei said: “It is a new change for me. It is something that will help my development and my career. I spoke with Vincent and he persuaded me to come here and I think it is going to be a great chapter in my career.”
Defour said: “Enock has a lot of maturity in his game, despite his age. He never loses overview in his action. He’s a very creative player with a lot of speed and we are looking forward to working with him.”
