Burnley face Liverpool in Senior Cup

As part of building a stronger programme of fixtures, the development squad have this season returned to take part in the Lancashire Senior Cup.

We were immediately given a bye in the first round but today we have been given an away tie against Liverpool in the second round which has to be played before 30th November.

There is no confirmation of the venue, but Liverpool’s under-23 team play their Premier League 2 games at Prenton Park, home of Tranmere Rovers. With no building work going on there, it is unlikely they will request a switch of venue.
