1718 burnley danny cadamarteri 00 500x500Under-18s coach Danny Cadamarteri has left Burnley Football Club it has been confirmed this morning.

Cadamarteri joined the Clarets in the summer of 2017, replacing Michael Duff who had moved up to take charge of the under-23s following the departure of Michael Jolley. He coached the under-18s in what was our inaugural season in the U18 Professional Development League having attained category two status.

There were thoughts that he might replace Duff again, but that’s not going to happen with the news today that he’s leaving to pursue other coaching opportunities. He has been missing from recent under-18 games and a couple of weeks ago was watching his own son play elsewhere as we beat Barnsley. He wasn’t present either for the Lancashire Youth Cup game against Bolton.

This news leaves academy boss Jon Pepper with the task of looking for new coaches for both the under-23s and under-18s with Duff also having recently departed.

The club thanked him for his hard work and commitment and wished him well for the future.
