On 4th May 2012, Turf Moor hosted our final reserve game of the season in the Central League with a 3-1 win against Macclesfield in front of a crowd of 192.

Wes Fletcher and Joe Jackson scored along with an own goal for us and confirmed that we had ended the season in second place in the seven team league. It proved to be the end for us. We withdrew from the league, leaving our second string team without competitive football until we reached Category 2 status five years later.

Today we are playing in Premier League 2 with additional games coming in the Premier League Cup, the Lancashire Senior Cup and now a return to the Central League to play in their cup competition.

We’ve been drawn to play Barrow in the Lancashire Senior Cup on a date still to be confirmed but have been drawn against Accrington, Bolton and Rochdale in Central League Cup Group A. There are three groups with the winners going into the semi-finals with the best of the second placed teams.

At the group stage, we play each team once. We are scheduled to play Bolton away on 2nd November with a home game against Accrington on 15th November, but we kick off today with a home game against Rochdale.

Today’s game is strictly behind closed doors and kicks off at 2 p.m. at Gawthorpe.
