Clarets draw final Premier League Cup game
Burnley drew their final Premier League Cup group game 1-1 against Fulham tonight that leaves us bottom of Group G at its inclusion.
We included four of the five recent new additions to the squad in our starting line-up with Mikey O’Neill the only one of them missing and it was a team that also started with under-16 Brandon Pouani in the starting eleven.
Tommy McDermott (pictured) gave us the lead ten minutes before half time with a shot from distance into the top corner of the net but the lead lasted just a few minutes before the visitors drew level with a Caelan Avenall header.
We went in level at half time and that’s how the score remained with Fulham the better of the two sides who are currently in third place in Premier League 2 with just two defeats all season.
It’s back to league action for our under-21s this Friday with a trip to Coventry.
The teams were;
Burnley: Charlie Casper, Alex Healy-Byrne, Joe Ashton (Benn Ward 60), Brad Grant, Logan Pye, Will Hugill, Brandon Pouani (Noah Adekoya 85), Tommy McDermott, Joe Bevan, Ackeme Francis-Burrell (Oli Pimlott ht), Michael Parker (Renaldo Torraj ht). Sub not used: Harry Moss.
Fulham: Alfie McNally, Samuel Tabares, Stefan Parkes, Harvey Araujo, Caelan Avenall, Matt Dibley-Dias, Tom Olyott, George Okkas, Tom Wingate, Adrion Pajaziti, Terrell Works. Subs: Alex Borto, Delano McCoy-Splatt, Bradley Slade, Luciano D’Auria-Henry, Farhaan Ali-Wahid.Follow UpTheClarets:
