Clarets release four young players
When reporting yesterday that Rhys Fenlon had signed a two year deal with Accrington Stanley, we referred to the fact that in June he was one of five players given a twelve week extension because of the pandemic.
The club reported at the time that the players in question were being given the opportunity to try and win a third year scholarship. However, none of them have featured in any of the games this season and this morning the club have confirmed that all of them have now been released.
That means, along with Fenlon, all of Joe Conley, Mitch George, Kane Patterson and Edon Pruti have now left the club.
