Clarets still top after Birmingham beat Hull
Burnley went to the top of the Championship last Saturday when Andre Gray scored twice in a 2-1 win against Bolton at the Macron Stadium, but we wondered just how long we would keep that lead given there were three games to be played before we were next in action, all of which could see us drop a place or two.
The first of them was on Tuesday night at Ewood Park with Blackburn beating Middlesbrough 2-1. Any result for Middlesbrough would have seen them go above us, and the same was the case for Hull tonight who were beaten 1-0 to an early Jon Toral goal.
It leaves both Hull and Middlesbrough still a point behind us although the latter, still with a game in hand, are in action again tomorrow with a home game against Wolves, one they are expected to win. Again, any result for Boro will see them go above us.
But, for now, Burnley remain top as the League Table shows.Follow UpTheClarets:
