Clarets through to County Cup semi-final
We’ve beaten Blackpool 3-1 at Gawthorpe this afternoon to win a place in the semi-finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup.
We led 1-0 at half time with a goal scored by Jez Davies (pictured) just before the half hour when his deflected shot from a Marcel Lewis cross found the net.
Blackpool drew level with Beryly Lubala netting just before the hour but they were level for just a few minutes before Joe Westley restored our advantage with a shot into the bottom corner after Lewis had pulled the ball back. Substitute Renaldo Torraj completed the scoring with a shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Barrow, 3-0 winners against Everton this afternoon, have joined us in the last four of the competition.
