Dara Costelloe scored all three goals this afternoon as the under-21s continued their unbeaten run with a 3-1 victory at Coventry with our visitors including Callum O’Hare in their line up as he returns from injury.

It took just five minutes for us to go in front. Matt Lowton played a ball forward for Costelloe (pictured) who finished with a clipped ball over Coventry keeper Tom Billson.

We were dominating and might have extended our lead before Costelloe added his and our second. He found Marcel Lewis who was brought down in the box and Costelloe stepped forward to score from the spot.

Liam Kelly pulled one back for Coventry eight minutes before half time and we went into the break with a 2-1 lead but we should have been further ahead.

With around twenty minutes to go, we made sure of the win with Costelloe again scoring from the spot to complete his hat trick, again after Lewis had been fouled.

It ended 3-1 to take us within five points of league leaders Sheffield United.
