Crewe hold under-21s to a draw
Eight goals in the previous two league games, but there were none today as the under-21s fought out a 0-0 draw against Crewe Alexandra.
The Burnley team included deadline day signings Alex Healy-Byrne and Marcel Lewis but also saw youngster Brad Grant given a first opportunity. We also included two trialists, one who started and one who came on as a late substitute.
The teams were;
Crewe: David Richards, Sam Bhatti, Rio Adebisi, Regan Griffiths, Lewis Billington, Billy Sass-Davies, Charlie Finney, Owen Lunt, Connor Evans, Lachlan Brook, Joel Tabiner. Subs: Tom Booth, Marquise Martins, Harvey Washington, Lewis Nolan, Lucas Sant.
Burnley: Sam Waller, Alex Healy-Byrne, Trialist1, Benn Ward, Owen Dodgson, Marcel Lewis, Mark Helm, Joe Bauress, Will Hugill (Trialist2 84), Brad Grant (Seb Thompson 64), Michael Mellon (Joe Westley 64). Subs not used: Jon Ander Vilar Robinson, Nathan James.
