Having returned to action four days ago with a 3-0 league win against Sheffield Wednesday, the under-21s turn their attentions to the Premier League Cup this afternoon with a home game against Swansea.

Swansea cannot qualify for the knock out stage of the competition. They go into today’s game bottom of the four team Group G with just three points from their five games while we still have a chance of qualifying. However, to do that, we must win today and then win at Arsenal in our final game. That will be a tall order. Arsenal have already qualified and Stoke (nine points) currently sit five points clear of us although they have now completed their fixtures.

The game is being played at the County Ground, Leyland with kick off at 2 p.m. It is free entry for all.
