Our under-18s will play Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup with the game now confirmed to be played on Friday, 7th January with a 7 p.m. kick off at the Liverpool FC Academy.

Yesterday the two teams met in the U18 Premier League at Gawthorpe, and it was very much Liverpool’s day with the visitors winning the game 5-0.

The led just 1-0 at the interval with a goal scored by Isaac Mabaya with Bobby Clark doubling their advantage midway through the second half.

We went into the final ten minutes of the game still two behind but goals from Tommy Pilling, Melkamu Frauendorf and Oakley Cannonier completed the scoring.

Our next scheduled league game is against Manchester City on 8th January 2022 but a new date will be needed for that game with yesterday’s opponents Liverpool next up in that cup tie.
