Dodgson joins Dale
Owen Dodgson is the latest of our young players to go out on loan, he’s joined Rochdale today until the end of the current season.
Dodgson joined us from Manchester United during the 2020/21 season and has impressed since then, even making a first team debut last season in the FA Cup against Huddersfield.
He’s been a mainstay of the under-21s this season, playing in this week’s game against Crewe but will now be playing at Spotland for the remainder of this season. He will be in their squad for tomorrow’s home game against Carlisle.
Rochdale boss Jim Bentley, no stranger to taking young Burnley players on loan, said: “Owen is a good player who is, again, highly though of at his parent club. He trains regularly with the first team at Burnley and is another player with plenty of potential. We have watched him numerous times this season and he has good qualities that we are looking for.”
